My First GH definition OBJECT DESIGN 310

 

My First GH definition:

I was lost when it came to doing my own thing, so I started by drawing swirls. Using what I learned in the tutorials I turned them into arcs and then lofted them.

Then I baked the shape and incorporated what we learned in class. With an arc and number slider, I made a swirl pattern. 

The tutorials were fairly easy to follow. However, I did run into some problems using the custom preview and the gradient node. On my laptop, the custom preview node had different letters than the tutorial. It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out if I was using the right tool. I also had problems with the gradient node. I'm not sure how to change the colours properly. I managed to get a gradient, but not like the one in the tutorial.
